BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN MEDICINE AND FITNESS with Jeff Young MS, CSCS, EdD(c)

June 16, 2025 @ 7pm

As the founder and director of the New York State Physical Activity Coalition, Jeff Young is helping implement the National Physical Activity Plan at the national and state level. He works closely with leadership from the Physical Activity Alliance (PAA) to develop sustainable frameworks that connect clinicians with qualified fitness professionals—and prepare the fitness industry for the road to insurance reimbursement in the coming years.

Jeff’s doctoral research focuses on helping clinicians more effectively move patients through the stages of behavioral change and into the right activity pathway—whether self-directed, community-based, or with a fitness professional (in-person or virtual).
